Now correct me if I’m wrong but I don’t think I’m alone in this - wrapped food just tastes better! Whether it be a gyros, a shwarma, a burrito, a dumpling, a spring roll or even a basic white girl lettuce wrap, if theres something that I can use to squash all the flavours together so that I get a taste of everything in every bite - I’m gonna use it.
Shwarmas are near the top of my personal wrapped-food pyramid. Theres literally never a wrong time to have one - I’ve eaten them at 2am after a night out, whilst sun tanning on the beach, walking through town and more commonly just a regular Tuesday night for dinner. No matter what - they’re always going down a treat.
This one is a little in-between a shwarma and a gyros. It has the warm, spiced flavours of a shawarma but with the creamy tzatziki of a gyros - not traditional but lets be honest,I’m never saying no to tzatziki. It has toum and sumac onions aswell with a bit of freshness coming in from the tomato salad. Every bite is a good one.
